Study American English in the second largest city in the United States at CSI’s Chicago Campus. You will be immersed in American culture and American business in the heart of one of the biggest cities in North America. Our students can take advantage of public transportation to our convenient location in the Chicago Loop, one block from Millennium Park. Other famous attractions in the area include the Cadillac Palace Theatre, the Willis Tower (which has a Skydeck that overlooks Chicago), the Art Institute of Chicago, Buckingham Fountain (one of the largest fountains in the world), and the extensive Grant Park. Students will have a wealth of American culture at their feet as well with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Lyric Opera of Chicago, the Joffrey Ballet, the Chicago Cultural Center, and the central branch of the public library, the Harold Washington Library. There are plenty of shopping opportunities at the Loop Retail Historic District and the Magnificent Mile. The Loop is also the financial and government seat of Chicago.
Our ESL students will benefit from our modern campuses located in one of Chicago’s landmark buildings, the Heyworth Building. Classrooms are equipped with modern work stations, high-speed Internet, LCD projectors, and network printers.
The ESL Academy offers a number of programs for English-learners and international students at any level from its Chicago campus. Intensive English, for beginner to advanced level speakers, can help students improve listening skills, vocabulary, reading comprehension, writing skills, and oral English. Each course is designed to improve fluency and confidence while using English. These skills can help students achieve their academic, professional, or personal goals for the new language.
For advanced speakers, Academic English will prepare students specifically for the coursework and classroom style of US colleges and universities. For advanced speakers who want to develop skills applicable to a career, Business English programs will teach students the professional communication skills related to the specific industries of customer service, hospitality, and administration. Students with advanced language proficiency may also pursue a career program in healthcare, business, or computer networking through CSI’s specialized Career Programs.
